The "Art of Revolution" exhibition, a groundbreaking and immersive Bitcoin art experience, was brought to Barcelona by the Street Cyber Crew with the explicit aim of raising awareness and educating the public about Bitcoin.
Held at the Artevistas Gallery in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, the exhibition ran for five weeks from September 24 to late October 2024.
This pioneering event immersed visitors in the history, evolution, and transformative potential of Bitcoin. Through a captivating collection of over 300 art pieces, the exhibition explored the journey of money from its origins to today, delving into the challenges of the traditional financial system and highlighting how Bitcoin is poised to revolutionize it. Key themes included Bitcoin as a force for freedom, privacy, and financial equality, addressing issues like inflation and inequality through secure, intermediary-free transactions enabled by blockchain technology.
The exhibition, featuring the work of artist "Street" from Street CY₿ER, proved highly successful, with approximately 70% of the artworks sold. The works that were previously hanging on the wall and not sold can now be purchased through the store as exclusive pieces, distinguished by their frames and signatures.
It attracted up to 100 visitors daily, significantly contributing to a shift in public perception and understanding of Bitcoin. Its success has garnered interest from other European galleries for future shows, furthering Street CY₿ER's mission—a collective of over 100 educators, enthusiasts, artists, musicians, and activists—to promote Bitcoin awareness through street art and bypass traditional media channels.
